North American Division Beliefs Regarding the State of the Dead

We were created for life. But death has been with us ever since sin entered the human world. We have been confronted with it, especially during these last two years, as it has been on the front page of the news. Covid-19, different kinds of sickness, accidents, and violence have been the cause for the loss of many loved ones. Have you been wondering about death and what happens after someone dies? Let us examine some research findings regarding the beliefs on the state of the dead in the North American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

The Southern Asia Division: Members Living in Community

Are you an active member of your community? Do you participate in church activities or ministries of your local church? If you are volunteering in your community or participate actively in your church, you will probably agree that such activities create joy – not only for us but also for others. Such involvement gives us a sense of fulfillment. Spending time with others, supporting each other, and caring for each other creates community, a vital component in our Christian walk. Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us of its importance. Today we explore research findings from the Southern Asia Division (SUD) regarding this topic.

Spiritual Growth Activities in the Euro-Asia Division

Spiritual Growth Activities in the Euro-Asia Division

The Euro-Asia Division (ESD) covers a very multicultural area in the world including the territories of Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan, where Christianity has even been outlawed for periods of time and where even today people still die for their faith in Jesus. Yet, the Gospel has prevailed and permeated many hearts – changing lives forever. In Psalms 119:105 KJV, we read, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” How do Adventist church members in the ESD grow spiritually? Let’s explore together if they are taking these Bible words to heart?

Use of Christ’s Method to Reduce Suffering and Poverty in the WAD

Use of Christ’s Method to Reduce Suffering and Poverty in the WAD

In Deuteronomy 10:18, we read, “[The Lord your God] executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the sojourner, giving him food and clothing.” We find many reminders in the Bible to care for the needy (often referred to as the widow and orphan). We also discover that during His early ministry, Jesus did all He could to minister to those overlooked by society. However, what is the Adventist Church doing in this regard? In this blog, we will examine how one Division—the West-Central Africa Division (WAD)—feels about Christ’s method of ministry and what they do when the “rubber meets the road.”

The Adventist Health Message: A Global Opportunity for Outreach

Seventh-day Adventists take pride in being a “global family of Christians who holds the Bible as the ultimate authority” and represents “all the people” of “the nations” praising our Father in Heaven, as mentioned in Psalm 67;3-5 KJV. As of the end of 2020, the Church noted a global membership of over 21.7 million members in 13 Divisions; that number continues to grow each year. While this is an encouraging number, what are we doing in reaching out to the unreached? Today’s blog examines research findings on the topic of using the Adventist Health Message as an outreach possibility.
